Walton Breck Road Improvement Works
Updated
Liverpool City Council has begun a programme of improvement works on Walton Breck Road, which will continue until March 2027. These works include widened pavements, new crossing points and resurfacing of the road which may impact supporters travelling to matches by car or on foot.
What You Need to Know
The usual matchday road closures will remain in place and will now operate from two hours before kick-off until one hour after the final whistle.
Following matches, supporters leaving the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand will only be able to exit by turning left onto Anfield Road. There will be no access to Walton Breck Road.
The taxi rank adjacent to the Paisley Gates has been temporarily relocated to Venmore Street.
Planning Your Journey
If you regularly use Walton Breck Road as part of your route to and/or from the stadium, we recommend allowing additional time for your journey and considering alternative routes where possible.
We appreciate that these changes may have a greater impact on supporters with accessibility requirements, including those who may find longer walking distances challenging. Please speak to a steward who can help support.
