How to reset your Membership password

Problems receiving your password reset link
- It’s best to use Google Chrome on a PC or a laptop to change your password instead of using mobile/tablet browsers
- If your email service has a Safe Senders feature, please add tickets@fans.emails.liverpoolfc.com to your safe sender’s list. If you don’t have a Safe Senders feature, please add tickets@fans.emails.liverpoolfc.com to your contacts list/address book (available in most email services).
- If you had an old email address registered on your account and you haven’t updated it, please check your old address for your reset link.
- Please check that you are entering your Supporter ID without any leading zeros. Supporter IDs are between 4 and 8 digits long, but on some of our previous systems/emails may have been shown with zeroes in front of them. For example, if you have seen your Supporter ID written as 00123456, you should enter 123456 only into the password reset page
- You can request a new password reset link online here. It’s important to note that link sent will only be active for 1hr.
- if you have made several attempts to reset your password and have received more than one password reset email, always use the latest (newest) email. Any older links will stop working when a new password reset email is sent to you.
- If you still can’t locate the password reset email, please check your spam/junk folder for it
- Once you receive the link, please follow the below tips to create your new password.
New password creation rules
If you are getting an error message when typing in your new password, please make sure it meets all of the criteria below:
- At least 8 characters long
- Contains at least one lower case letter
- Contains at least one upper case letter
- Contains at least one number
- Contains at least one of these special characters: ! # $ % ^ ( ) = ? ; : .
- The new password should not be the same or any similar to any previous passwords used/attempted on your Ticketing or Membership accounts
Your password will not be accepted if it doesn't meet all of the above criteria.
Additional password creation tips
If for any reason the new password is still not accepted, please try to use a completely new password, which contains all of these: at least 2 numbers, 2 upper case letters, 2 lower case letters and 2 special characters of the same type (for example !! or ?? instead of @#).
If you are having difficulty with thinking of a password that has all of these elements, try replacing the normal letters of words with a number or special character, e.g. "MyPassword" could be written as "MyPa55w()rd"
Here are some other examples of passwords meeting our password criteria:
Liverpool1% (11 characters long, with 8 lower case letters, 1 upper case, 1 number, and 1 special character)
Anfi3ld1892& (12 characters long, with 5 lower case letters, 1 upper case, 5 numbers, and 1 special character)
Important: These are examples only – you must not use them for your own account.
Not sure what your Supporter ID is? (you need this to reset your password). You will find it in your email confirming your Membership renewal. Or, if you haven't renewed/don't have the email, use our Supporter ID retrieval page to check what your Supporter ID is and complete.
