NFC Mobile Ticket Access for iPhone

How do NFC mobile tickets work?

An NFC Pass (Near Field Communication) is a digital ticket that is stored on your iPhone. As part of reducing touchpoints at Anfield, all fans will be required to use an NFC pass to access the stadium.

NFC Passes are only compatible with iPhone 6 and above. Fans will not gain entry using photographs or screenshots of NFC passes. Once you have received your e-mail to download your NFC Pass, you must open the email attachment on your iPhone and tap the ‘Apple Wallet’ app.

Follow the instructions below to complete your download:

1. Downloading your ticket

Step 1 - tap 'Next'
Step 2 - choose ‘Automatically Select’ and tap ‘Done’

Step 3 - your NFC Pass has been added to your Apple Wallet – tap ‘Done'

2. Viewing additional ticket information

Match details, entry times, seating and turnstile information can be viewed on the front of your pass. However, there is extra information included in your Apple Wallet that you should view before attending the stadium. Please follow the below steps to access your full ticket information:

Step 2 - scroll down to view additional ticket information

3. Using your ticket on match day

When you arrive at Anfield, a notification will pop-up on your phone. You can tap that to access your ticket. Alternatively, you can tap the Apple Wallet icon on your phone.

As you approach the turnstile, open the ticket on your phone and then tap it on the ‘Contactless’ symbol on the turnstile reader.

Please make sure your phone isn’t locked when you try to hold it against the reader. If you have any problems you may just need to unlock your phone and try again. Alternatively, please ask the nearest steward or Fan Support who will be happy to help

2. Can I forward an NFC Pass on?
No, NFC passes cannot be sent on. The ticket owner must download their ticket to their decide. 

3. What happens if I run out of battery, forget or lose my phone?
You will need to go to the Ticket Office and our Ticketing Services team will help.
